Interchange Session Two

Session One Feedback:

Interchange headline history for new members(see info page on www.worshipinterchange.me

Testimony Time:

Great to hear 2 stories of how change had happened after we'd prayed for each other last week.

One person being encouraged to press in to look at how they might be able to use songs in a key to suit their range but be accesible for others to connect with.

Another confirmation of answered prayer for removal of tension in a team situation. A sense of enjoyment rather than stress and self examination

Time of worship:

Opportunity for singing out songs on our hearts interjected with prayer, finished in a natural time of silence where we were able to offer prayers of thanks, words of encouragement and some sense of what we felt God was speaking into each others lives.

What the bible says about our offering:

1 Chron. 15:22
Kenaniah the head Levite was in charge of the singing; that was his responsibility because he was skilful at it.

2 Sam 24:24
I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing-floor and the oxen and paid fifty shekels of silver for them.

Discuss:

We talked about bringing some of our gifts before Him that weren't easy for us but we needed to obedient with. How God can take that offering, our own perception of 'inability' and transform it, use it, work through us in ways we hadn't expected.

We discussed the balance between 'the noise we make – everyone has a noise' and the importance of each gift finding it's own place, it's outworking. We also talked about the 'gathered' times of worship where lack of skill or too much polish and performance could both be a distraction.. We're looking to 'attract'  the presence of God and usher others into it.

Paul shared how we might be able to encourage those with potential into teams where they could grow and develop – aim high, push boundaries of abilities.

Prayer:

Loved this : 'You breathe through our lives. Make us more aware of You' AMEN
